Psychotherapy Practicum Students for 2026.

What We Offer

Supervision

We offer supervision in both dyadic and group formats, held virtually. This structure blends the depth of one-on-one exploration with the richness of peer learning. Supervision with Tala is reflective and grounded in care, supporting your growth in clinical insight, confidence, and therapeutic presence. We aim to foster a space where emerging therapists can think deeply, take risks, and build their voice.

Workshops

Practicum students participate in a monthly, two-hour somatic-based trauma training, held virtually. These sessions explore the impact of trauma on the body, mind, and relationships, offering practical clinical tools alongside embodied learning. Additional optional workshops—led by guest facilitators from varied clinical and cultural backgrounds—offer diverse perspectives on therapeutic practice and professional development.

Business Practices

We provide thoughtful support for students preparing to build a private practice. This includes guidance on developing your third-party profiles, defining your ideal client base, and improving your online visibility. We also assist with scheduling systems and foundational operations—offering the tools to manage your practice with clarity, integrity, and sustainability.

Hybrid Model

Students have the opportunity to offer therapy sessions virtually or in-person at our downtown Toronto office, depending on client needs and preferences. This hybrid model encourages flexibility and responsiveness in your clinical work. While client sessions can be in-person or virtual, all supervision and training components are conducted online to ensure accessibility and consistency across the program.

“Looking at the past must only be a means of understanding more clearly what and who you are - so you can more wisely build the future.”
